I was a new supervisor in Social Services and Paula was my mentor but may never have known that. She taught me so much about kindness, respect, dignity all while maintaining such a sense of humour. Everyone mattered to Paula and she quietly influenced all around her. Our schick over the years was I would buy her a coke cola something for Christmas and she would buy me candy rockets at Halloween. The biggest bag ever that required sharing. Your mom and dad at their best, taking part at my Murder Mystery birthday party. I can’t remember what parts they played (it was a long time ago). They were a lot of fun, your dad with his witty/caustic sense of humour and your mom stoically standing by. I can’t really think about one without the other.
