  • Harold was born on November 24, 1942 and sadly left us on November 27, 2025. He passed away surounded by loving family at the Kingston General Hospital, 7:19 pm at the age of 83.

He leaves behind a legacy as he is survived by his children, Daniel Woods, Dominique Woods and Andre Woods. His grandchildren, Tristen Oni, Jordan Hoover, Arielle Woods, Terra Bernasconi and Brooke Bernasconi and his great grand daughter, Averie Oni. Harold was predeceased by his older brother, Wayne Woods and his beloved mother Nora Lavergne. He will be greatly missed by all.
In 1975, the family made the decision to move from Sault Ste. Marie, ON, to Kingston, Ontario, where they made a home filled with adventure. Dad was an Animal lover so one of our adventures included the purchase of a small hobby farm where we enjoyed horses, ducks and a goose among other critters.

In 1985, Harold embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, launching his very successful company "H.T. Woods Adjusters," with the support of family as well as extended family. As a father he was always there for his family when he was needed.

Through the good times and the bad there are lots of cherished memories. A few that stand out are the times he played guitar for me at bedtime as a young child, singing " froggy went a cortin" or one of his favorite John Denver songs.
Daniel has a fond memory of a special fishing trip with dad and uncle Wayne where Dan thought he was hung up on something and to his surprise Dad helped him land a 6 lb pickerel. Andre and Dad shared many good times riding dirt bikes which kindled Andre's love of motorcycling. He was a fan of the TV show "Little House on the Prairie," and his emotional connect with the show remains a cherished family memory. He was a skiing enthusiast and created beautiful memories of family ski trips. He was also known for hosting memorable summer BBQs with family and friends by his poolside.

A voracious reader, Dad had an unending thirst for knowledge. His favorite books not only stacked his library, but also influenced those around him. He also developed a deep appreciation for fine art and filled his home with pieces that showcased his refined taste.
He was an enthusiast of live theatre performances and enjoyed attending as many as he could. He loved golfing and was an active participant in the "Ride for Dad" motorcycle charity event.
