Welcome to this tribute page honoring my dad, Gregory Calvin Clark.

I created this page because a single obituary could never hold an entire life—especially a life like my dad’s. There are so many stories, memories, photographs, lessons, and little pieces of him that deserve to be remembered and preserved.

My dad was a man who believed that if you wanted to do something, you could figure out how to do it. He worked hard, loved his family deeply, gave generously, and spent much of his life making sacrifices so the people he loved could have a good life. He was also the kind of person who quietly helped others, often without anyone knowing what he had done.

But our family only knows the parts of his story that we were there to see.

My dad was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a friend, a coworker, and so many other things to so many different people. Each person who knew him carries memories of him that the rest of us may have never heard.

That is what I hope this page can become—a place where all of those pieces come together.

If you knew my dad, please share a memory, a story, a photograph, or even something small that you remember about him. Tell us about something funny he did, something he taught you, a time he helped you, a conversation you never forgot, a North Slope story, or simply what you remember most when you think of him.

Please don’t ever think that a memory is too small or insignificant to share. Sometimes the smallest stories tell us the most about a person.

For our family—and especially for his children and grandchildren—these memories are priceless. They give us pieces of Dad that we may not have known before, and they allow future generations of our family to know not only his name, but who he really was.

Thank you for visiting, for remembering him, and for helping us preserve the story of a man we loved beyond words.

Dad, you are deeply loved, incredibly missed, and you will never be forgotten.

— With love,
Marita Clark

Greggie, I cannot believe you are gone. I hope you were able to witness the beautiful memorial at your old fishing spot at the Kenai River. While we talked and shared our memories of you, a bald eagle swooped and dipped along the river. He caught a salmon and sat directly across from us on the bank while he ate. I had so many memories of you in the very spot, fishing. Fishing as a kid, a teenager, and an adult. Most of us had accompanied you there, I have so very many memories of you happy, in nature, loving life, loving being at the river ...fishing. You are missed, love you forever and ever
