Not enough words for what she meant to me, love and miss her so much

I first met Ashlyn when she was a young, spunky, sassy kid. She soon became my niece and was always there to play with and entertain her cousins. Her obsession with Texas A&M was always a fun topic to pick on her about because we loved our Razorbacks and Longhorns. I was so proud of her when, several years later, she made her dream of becoming an Aggie come true. She blossomed into a beautiful woman who was super smart and was making an amazing life for herself. She has left her mark on this world and she will be missed by so many.

Ashlyn is a joy in my life. She was gifted in many ways. She had an engineer mind therefore she was musically inclined, she could pick up and instrument and learn how to play it in seconds, she excelled in the construction industry on the project management side, and boy could she work magic in the kitchen. Her and Jimmy always compared notes. We all know her love for puzzles as her finished work riddled her home’s book shelves and walls. She was meticulous and determined in all her decision making. But with all of that said she would surprise you with always wanting to have snuggle time. We had an inside joke that she had the most petable nose. Ashlyn and I had a lot of similarities so it was easy to have long discussions, whether comparing our notes with our scoliosis diagnosis or talking construction projects, or discussing how to best care for our doodles and plants. Therefore I’m not surprised that she adopted my children, as her little sister and brother because she was always intertwined in our families life. Ashlyn played a big role in my family and it will be a painful adjustment, but I am so so grateful for the years we had with her because she blessed my family and I with such beautiful memories. ????

I was only blessed with three years of Ashlyn's friendship, but I cherish every laugh and lesson we shared while working together. Words can't express how much I will miss her. She convinced me to read Throne of Glass and I will never think of Aelin without thinking of Ashlyn. I loved her from the moment we met and I will love her until we meet again. I can remember actually telling her that from the second we shared our first snarky, sarcastic joke ????, I knew in my bones that I just HAD to become her friend. It was an honor to hear her story and come to know her. I'll look for her on every hike and in every puppy's eyes. Sending y'all so much love and light in this tough time.
